Confidentiality

 

As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapists (BACP) I undertake regular clinical supervision as part of good therapy practice and to maintain high standards of clinical work.  Any client information discussed as part of my supervision will be anonymised and treated as confidential.

Whilst counselling/psychotherapy sessions are confidential, there are circumstances where confidentiality may be breached, this would be in exceptional circumstances.  Before sessions commence I will be provide a “Confidentiality, Privacy and Data Policy ” statement so there is understanding how personal information is being managed.

I adhere to the:

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679: www.icp.org.uk.

I am registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO).

I hold Professional Indemnity Insurance.

I have Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) clearance.

Cancellation Policy

 

If you have committed to a session and need to cancel, please give a minimum of 48 hours notice, or you will be liable for the cost of the session.

All policies and procedures are in place to ensure that I practice to a high standard of care.
